In 1990, Morimatsu (China) was invested and established in Pudong New Area, Shanghai by Morimatsu Industry Co., Ltd. (now renamed as Morimatsu Holdings Co., Ltd.). As the first foreign-funded enterprise settled in Pudong New Area after the Reform and Opening-up, Morimatsu was affectionately praised as "Pudong No. 1" by major media. After more than 3 decades of development and growth, Morimatsu has achieved remarkable development. In China, Morimatsu has successively established a number of subsidiary companies in Shanghai, Nantong, Wuhan and Changshu, and 3 large-scale manufacturing bases.
